White Conservatives Are Trying Desperately to REWRITE the TRUTH of BLACK History. The Trump GOP Advocates Making Black History a Footnote in the History of America and Not Mention the Horrors of Negro Slavery and the Cruel Treatment of Slaves inflicted on their Negro Slaves by white "Americans."
When ALL Americans get around to acknowledging the truth of the contributions of Negro slaves and their descendants, hopefully, it will not be too late to save the "Soul" of America!
I cannot in a few pages on this Blog Community outline the full depth of what the Black experience and contribution in America has been, and continues to be. However, I can provide a few resources and suggestions for what Americans consider as we move forward into the future. Those resources I can suggest or recommend include videos, blog sites, and articles found on websites across the internet.
I am going to start by sharing a video recently produced and released by the Gilead project. It is a collage of images and information set to music and video relating to the "Negro National Anthem - Life Every Voice and Sing."
In that short 5-minute music video over a hundred Black heroes in American history are depicted with some hints or references as to who they are and what their contribution(s) were to Black America, and indeed to ALL Americans. It shows the blood, sweat, labor and tears of Americans who either willingly or unwillingly gave so much to truly MAKE AMERICA GREAT FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I ENCOURAGE YOU AND THE REST OF MY FRIENDS TO GRAB A PEN AND PENCIL AND TAKE NOTE OF WHO YOU RECOGNIZED AND WHAT YOU BELIEVE THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR HISTORY MIGHT BE. IF YOU CARE TO SHARE YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT WHAT YOU DISCOVERED, THAT WOULD BE VERY WELCOME!
Also, below you will find links to pictures I took during visits to the National African American Museum of History and Culture in Washington, DC. It is a true repository of artifacts and exhibits showing the broad and deep history of Black America since 1619! I will place a link in this page below that will allow you to download and use an e-book of my pictures for your interest and purposes without applying copyright interests for my images so long as credit is given to me as the photographer in any publication or use.
And I would be remiss if I didn't suggest that you make a great effort to visit the National African American Museum of History and Culture at your earliest opportunity when you are in Washington, DC. I myself am a "Charter member" and minor contributor to the museum. The NAAMHC is a part of the federal government Smithsonian Institute of Museums.
I also have embedded videos of the dedication of this museum a few years ago which was attended by former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama,

DO NOT LET THE Trump GOP opposition to teaching anything in history about "critical race theory" which makes it seem like Black people had any meaningful role in US History other than being happy and thankful that they have benefitted from the "freedom and liberties" offered to them by White America keep our kids and colleagues from learning about the contributions to America by Black people and the horrors of American chattel slavery.
They say a Change Gonna Come....
Lift Every Voice and Sing! Election of a Black President of the United States of America is just another important step towards the Healing of America and Atonement for the "Peculiar Institution."
Whether you are Black, White, Yellow, or Brown, you "need" to spend a couple days learning the history of America at the National African American Museum of History and Culture!
President Barack Obama gives lasting remarks about the importance of Black History and the Contributions of Black America to the Fabric of the American Experience. A thoughtful, enduring statement of the Importance of Black History and contributions to what has become America since 1619.
